With the holiday weekend approaching it might be a good time to review your auto insurance to make sure that you have all the proper coverages.
Prior to holiday or vacation traveling most people secure their home, have the vehicle serviced and make trip plans well in advance. But, did you know that most people forget to check their auto insurance to see if it includes Roadservice. For the small price of about $2.00 a month a person can have the comfort and security of knowing that if they have a mechanical break down while out on the road there is help on the way, no walking, no relying on strangers for help just peace of mind knowing that help is on its way. Let us at High Desert Insurance review your current insurance policy to make sure you have the proper coverage before you need it.
Our office just finished helping a person with a Nevada DMV suspension because he didn’t know that having a proof of car insurance showing that he lives in Nevada does not meet the standard Nevada DMV requirements.
When this person moved to Nevada he contacted his insurance carrier and did a change of address showing his new residence in Nevada but this only creates an address change for mailing purposes only. Nevada DMVrequires an in state address along with in state insurance. The insured didn’t know this until after he received a registration suspension order. Here at High Desert
Insurance we were able to research this particular case and help him get it corrected without paying any fines and the suspension order being lifted.
Please keep in mind that not all insurance carriers are as willing to work with their respective agents or clients like Progressive Insurance did in this case. Contact High Desert Insurance for all your insurance needs.
